We crazy folk who work madly behind the
scenes at Morrigan Books have finally managed to finish out
newest baby, The Phantom Queen Awakes.
The Phantom Queen is our latest anthology that captures the spirit of
the Morrigan goddess, a rich figure of Celtic mythology.
Gritty, powerful, resonating...the stories that paint our
tutelary goddess capture her in all her capricious glory.
When Mark and I began searching for the stories for this
anthology, we knew two things: One, we had already
commissioned tales from Katharine Kerr, CE Murphy, Anya Bast
and Elaine Cunningham; and two, we would only pick stories
that depicted the ‘real’ Morrigan, from a goddess of war to
a vulnerable woman.
We were lucky in our open call as well, as we received
fantastic stories, one by a member of Three Crows’ staff -
TA Moore. To find out what her story is about, you’ll have
to grab a copy of the book. It’s worth it!
